Erica Mena is an American reality TV actress, author, recording artist and model. She was born on November 8, 1987 in Bronx, New York City, New York. She is of Puerto Rican & Dominican decent.

 Having started her modeling career after winning the "Jennifer Lopez Look-Alike" contest, she rose to fame through the reality TV series Love & Hip Hop: New York. She is set to appear in Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta in 2018.


Early Career

Erica stared her carrer as a model after winning the "Jennifer Lopez Look-Alike" contest on MTV. At the age of 16, she posed in a semi nude spread for XXL magazine. After that, management firm Roc-a-fella discovered the young Latina and signed her. She went on to be featured in a music video for the label's group, Young Gunz, named "Can't Stop, Won't Stop". She would further go on to be featured in  several music videos such as Chris Brown's "Yo (Excuse Me Miss)", 50 Cent's "Candy Shop", and Fabolous's "Breathe". 

Even before her days as a model, She was very close with the Kardashians, specially Kourtney And Khloe. She worked for them at thier Dash Boutique in Miami but was let go due to her poor work ethic and bad communication skills. She was featured on an episode of Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami where we could see Erica being fired by the Kardashian sisters.

Love and Hip Hop: New York (2011-15)

Erica finally rose to fame after joining the supporting cast in the 2nd season of reality Vh1 series Love and Hip Hop: New York in 2011. She then joined the main cast for seasons 3-5. The series was highly popular and Erica gained fame through her role.

Throughout her time in the series, Erica got into multiple high-profile fights. Firstly, she got into a fight with cast-mate Kimbella Vanderhee which turned ugly very soon. It was later revealed that the bad blood between them was actually devised by another cast-mate Yandy. However, people accused it of being nothing more than a publicity stunt.

Another incident came when Erica's song was handed over to Olivia by another cast member Rich. This made Erica furious and she let Rich know about it. Rich later apologized for it.

Post Hip Hop and Love work

Since starring in  Love and Hip Hop: New York, she has been associated with multple reality TV shows and other shows as well. Her work of note include 106 & park, CSI: Cyber, Bad Girls Club: Social Disruption, Wild 'n Out, Master of None and Bad Girls Club: East Meets West.

In 2017, she was a contestant in the TV show Scared Famous. One year later, she again  joined the cast of Love & Hip  but changed cities by joining  Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta for it's seventh season.

She also has written 2 books: Chronicles of a Confirmed Bachelorette and Underneath It All.

Boyfriend/Girlfriend, Love life

She dated Fabolous in the early 2000s when she appeared in his music video "Breathe".  Thier relationship didn't last long though.

DJ Envy

With Fabolous no longer Erica's boyfriend, she was seen with  New York radio star DJ Envy. Detais about thier break up are not known.


Then she was seen with a rapper named Kejuan Muchita, also known as Havoc. After thier breakup, there were rumors that she had sexual relationship with Havoc as well as his crewmate. However, Erica denied this.

Scott Storch

Though much details are not avialable, it is rumored that Scott was Erica's boyfriend from 2005-2006.

Raul Conde

Raul is the father of Erica's son named King. They had a troublesome relationship as Erica was seen beating Raul on the street, which can be seen in this video.


Rich Dollaz

Rich and Erica dated for approx. a year in 2012-2013. No facts about their breakup is known.

Chinx Drugz 

She dated Chinx in 2013 but their relationship abruptly ended after Chinx was killed while taking photos and driving.

Shad Moss (Bow Mow)

Probably her most famous relationship was with Shad Moss, also known as Bow Mow. They started dating in 2014 and got engaged 6 months later. She was also pregnant during this time.

Tirina, also known as Hip Hop Bi**h, dated Erica in 2014. They were seen snuggling collectively on numerous occasions.

She is currently dating former basketball player Cliff Dixon. She shared a picture of them kissing on Instagram. But there are indications that they might have already broken up. Erica took to instagram to accuse Cliff of "pushing her away". Cliff responded by calling her a hoe further implying he is no longer Erica's boyfriend.
