Celebrated American celebrity chef Michael Symon, 44, is not only a professional chef but also a restaurateur, television personality and author. It was the James Beard Foundation Award in 2009 that made the talented chef “speechless”, finally recognizing his work at such a big level.

He owns four famous restaurants in America namely Lola, Lolita, Roast and B Spot. Meat lover cooking tycoon shares his meat-centric cooking style with  his viewers on Food Network famous shows such as Iron Chef AmericaFood Feuds, and The Best Thing I Ever Ate, as well as with his viewers on Cooking Channel’s Cook like an iron-chef and ABC’s The Chew.

He loves meat so much that he even sells a T-shirt that says “Eat More Meat”. But it’s not that he doesn’t like cooking vegetarian dishes. It’s just that he was raised in mid-west of America, the Cleveland  in a Greek and Sicilian family, the Cleveland native , where meat was a important aspect of everyday life. In an interview, he has said that when he was growing, meat was a large part of his life. Anyway, he can cook many varieties of food. His energetic cooking style is very famous among his viewers. His fans admire his smile: the charming smile appears on his face when he cooks. The smile has attracted many female fans all over the world.

His wife Liz Shanahan has taught him an important lesson in life, to look the world from the other way around. When he met his wife more than 20 years ago, she was a vegetarian. She gave him a hard time and tried convincing him not to take too much meat. She even compared him close to devil. Soto work out things between them, they decided to find a middle way to solve the issue with love by eating diet consisting of both meat and vegetables.  

The exact date of the couple marriage is not given in the media. However, one can easily speculate that the couple has been married for a long time now. She has been a good business counterpart with him as a collaborator on his restaurants. Symon’s stepson is now an adult, but he was only 2 years old when the couple met. The family is extremely proud of each other.

His life is a classic example of a man exploring his capabilities gradually through time, learning from mistakes and setting an example. After broking his arm while practicing for a competition at St. Edward High School in Lakewood, Ohio as a wrestler, his wrestling dreams crashes disturbingly. After that, realizing he have to support his studies, he takes a part-time job at Epetto's Ribs as a cook. 

Soon, the athletic boy Michael emerges as a creative cook, mixing different recipes and showing his huge understanding of meat and its qualities.

But, it was the year 1997, that really game him the opportunity to make something on his own. This is the year when his dream to open a restaurant comes true. The first of his restaurant Lola gets established on partnership with his future wife Liz. Liz was the mastermind behind the Cleaveland’s 60 seat spaced famous restaurant Lola’s menu’s unique wine listing. She selected wine from little known boutique vineyards. The wines were so unique in the mainstream restaurant industry that they made Lola Cleveland's destination of the year..

Restaurant Hospitality magazine named him a National Rising Star in the year 1997. Just two years before, he was named the Cleaveland’s hottest chef by The Plain Dealer Sunday Magazine. The awards and recognition he has received in his life is the dream of every aspiring chef in the United States.

Motorcycle, golf, gardening and football lover, Micheal’s “Fat Doug” hamburger   was named top burger at the Food Network South Beach Wine and Food Festival, beating out a burger from Bobby Flay as the "best burger in America.

He has a strong athletic build body with an impressive height of 5 feet and 10 inches. He in his entire life has advocated in favor of healthy foods. His recipes and his books are so popular in the internet and in many countries that many restaurants and households all over the world make food in regular basis following his books and recipes.
