Maria Bartiromo is an American television journalist, magazine columnist and author of three books.
She was born on September 11, 1967 in Brooklyn, New York as Maria Sara Bartiromo.

Before joining CNBC in 1993, Bartiromo spent 5 years as a producer and assignment editor with CNN Business News. She replaced analyst Roy Blumberg at CNBC when she began reporting live from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange and began hosting and contributing to the Market Watch and Squawk Box segments. Since 2007, Bartiromo has been the host of the TV show The Business of Innovation. She has hosted several other programs, including Closing Bell from 2002–2013, Market Wrap from 1998–2000, and Business Center from 1997–1999. Bartiromo has also appeared on the television shows: NBC Universal's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Real Time with Bill Maher, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, The Caroline Rhea Show, McEnroe, and The Colbert Report, as well as guest-hosting on Live with Regis and Kelly. Bartiromo also writes a Monthly column for USA Today called "One-On-One".
