Kelly Evans is an American journalist and co-anchor of Squawk on the Street on the CNBC business news channel.


Well known American journalist Kelly Evans was born on July 17, 1985 in Hartford, Connecticut. She was born in a middle class family and was raised up well considering the education she got.


Evans was born in Hartford, Connecticut, and raised in Lexington, Virginia, Rockbridge County near the Blue Ridge Mountains.As she was born in middle class family, she had to face certain adversities and hard ships. She studied in scholarships.

She was a George Washington Honor Scholar (a competitive four-year full-ride academic scholarship) and graduated magna cum laude from Washington and Lee University. She was a four-time scholar-athlete, co-captain of the women's lacrosse team (First Team All-State, a First-Team All-ODAC and a First Team All-Region selection) and a national leadership society Omicron Delta Kappa.She was a scholar holder which proves that she was bright in studies. Kelly Evans joined CNBC in February 2012 as an on-air correspondent, reporting across CNBC’s business day programming as well as presenting Squawk Box in the US. Previously, Evans was a reporter and columnist for The Wall Street Journal, penning the influential “Ahead of the Tape” column and writing for “Heard on the Street." She also hosted the daily “News Hub” program on and was a frequent guest on television and radio networks, including CNBC. Evans joined the Journal in 2007 as a reporter covering real estate and economics. Evans graduated magna cum laude ('07) and was a George Washington Honor Scholar, a four-time scholar-athlete and inducted into national leadership society Omicron Delta Kappa.

Evans started at the Wall Street Journal in 2007, covering real estate and economics. She also worked there as a reporter for the Global Economics bureau. A Gawker article titled "The Mixed Blessing of Being the Next ‘Money Honey’" discussed Evans adoring fans. Evans was one of the moderators for a 2012 Republican Primary debate in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She also moderated a James Carville v. Ann Coulter debate, part of the 25th annual mock convention event at her alma mater. She has been compared with former CNBC host Erin Burnett, who left the cable business channel to anchor a news program on CNN.
