Director Frank Perry is the half-brother of Katy's mother, Mary Christine Perry.

The couple, however, divorced on July 16, 2012 after being together for a couple of years.

 Before Russell Brand, she had dated American rapper and songwriter Travis McCoy from the music band Gym Class Heroes. After divorce, Katy Perry dated Orlando Bloom, an English actor, from 2016 to 2017.

In 2012, Katy Perry was featured in 3D documentary titled “Katy Perry: Part of Me” which earned over $30 million. She also voiced the character Smurfette in the movie “The Smurfs” released in 2011. By 2014, she had 50 million Twitter followers wining the Guinness World Record for Most Twitter followers. Perry’s performance for SuperBowl XLIX on February 1, 2015 drew 118.5 million viewers two days after halftime show. It became the most viewed performance in SuperBowl’s history in NFL history.

Katy Perry life as a pop hit diva has been a success. Forbes ranked her third “Top Earning Women in Music” in 2011 with her earning of $44 million. In 2012, Forbes ranked her fifth with $45 million, seventh on 2013 with $39 million and fifth in 2014 with $40 million.  With her earning of $135 million, Forbes placed her in the number one position in 2015 as “Top Earning Women in Music” and “World’s Highest Paid Musician”. She became the highest earning celebrity in 2015. In 2016, the magazine estimated her net worth to be $125 million.
