Kathryn Felicia Day (born June 29, 1979), better known as Felicia Day is an actress, producer, singer, writer, gamer and web series creator. Her most notable work is the creation of the web series The Guild. She was also the star, writer, and producer of the series, which is loosely based on her life as a gamer.

Day has also starred in multiple TV series like Buffy the Vampire Slayer (2003), Eureka (2011), and Supernatural (2012-2015). She also appeared in the movie Bring it On Again (2014). In April 2017, she started appearing as Kinga Forrester in the American TV series Mystery Science Theater 3000 (MST3K).

Early Life

Day was born on June 28, 1979, in Huntsville, Alabama. She started her career as a Scout in the local production of To Kill a Mockingbird at the age of 7. She was homeschooled throughout her childhood and joined college at the age of 16.

She attended the University of Texas at Austin on a full scholarship thanks to her skills with the violin. She majors in mathematics and music and graduated at the tender age of just 19. She is a vivid gamer since her childhood, playing plenty of video games of various genres.


Early Career

Day went to Los Angeles, California to pursue a career in acting after her graduation. She lands numerous small roles in independent movies and TV commercials, including Strings, Undeclared and Maybe It's Me. It led to her starring in bigger movies like Bring it On Again and the lead role in June.

In 2003, she landed a recurring guest role on the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Her cameo is still occasionally used in the series. The day got her first singing credit in 2005 in HBO's Warm Springs with her song "I Won't Dance".

The Guild (2007-2013)

Day created, wrote, produced and starred in the web series The Guild. The series explored The MMORPG gaming subculture. The series aired from 2007 to 2013 and was loosely based on the gaming life of Day. The first season primarily aired on Youtube and achieved millions of views. Second season onwards, Microsoft made a deal with The Guild to air the series on Xbox Live, MSN Video and The Zune Marketplace.

She also created three songs for the series. The first one was titled "(Do You Wanna Date My) Avatar". The other two were "Game On" and "I'm the One That's Cool".

The series won multiple awards such as the IAWTV Awards, The Greenlight Award, The Streamy Awards, Youtube Video Award and many more.

Geek & Sundry

On April 2, 2012, she launched her premium YouTube channel named "Geek & Sundry". She hosted several shows on her channel including The Flog, Vaginal Fantasy, Felicia's Ark and Co-Optitude. She also created a web series Tabletop in 2012 which premiered on her channel.

Legendary acquired the assets of Geek and Sundry in August 2014, with Day retaining creative control.

Other works

She further starred in other web series likeThe Legend of Neil and Dr.Horrible's Sing-Along Blog in 2008. She also had cameos in various other series and also starred in the film adaptation of Reid Robin Hood alongside Kavan Smith. She also featured in a Cheetos commercial. 

She wrote and starred in another web series titled  Dragon Age: Redemption(2011). She also hosted the 2012 IndieCade Awards ceremony on October 4, 2012.

She continued with other small cameos until she landed the role of Kinga Forrester in the 2017 TV series Mystery Science Theater 3000. She currently voices Cydner in the Netflix series Skylanders Academy.

 Over the course of her career, Day has won multiple awards. She has been nominated for 11 awards, winning six of them. The wins include 3 Streamy Awards and 3 IAWTV Awards. She won 5 of those awards for her performance in The Guild while she also won an award for The Flog.

Personal Life, Net Worth 

Felicia currently doesn't have a boyfriend but she was in a relationship with Canadian actor Nathan Fillion in 2017.

In December 2017, she gave birth to a baby girl. She named her daughter  Calliope Maeve. though she hasn't revealed who her father is, we assume it's Fillion. She shared her daughter's photo on her Instagram.
