David Muir is an American journalist and anchor for ABC News, which is the news division of the ABC broadcast-television network based in NYC. He is well-known for his effort in reporting natural disasters, feminine, war, and headlined shootings at ABC News.

He started his career with WTVH television as an anchor and a reporter. He filed many major reports from Jerusalem, Israel and Gaza. He followed the news of the assassination of Prime Minister of Israel in 1995. The reports got him various honors from different associations. Muir also reported from the movie theater mass shootings in Aurora, Colorado; from Joplin, Missouri after a destructive tornado; and from Tucson, Arizona after the shooting of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords that left seven dead.
In 2012, he served as one of ABC’s lead correspondents for the 2012 U.S. Presidential election. His interviews with Republican candidate Mitt Romney generated national headlines on the issues of taxes and immigration policy in the US. Muir’s Emmy-nominated ‘Made In America’ series on the American economy is a continuing feature on the Sawyer’s broadcast.
