In Jakarta, there was no TV in the Kinsey house, so Angela grew up with a love for reading and especially writing, scripting out plays and comedy skits for the neighborhood kids to perform. The American actress with 5 ft. 1 in height weighs just 90 ibs (41 kg)
When asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, Angela replied “Carol Burnett,” as the much-retold family story went. Her family then returned to the United States and settled in Archer City, Texas.

She is married to Keith Lieberstein on June 18, 2000 and she gave birth to a baby Isabel Ruby Lieberstein on May 3, 2008. Her husband is an American television writer and producer. Many believe that Kinsey first became known to millions when she was cast as uptight accountant Angela Martin on the hit NBC sitcom, The Office.
Kinsey and her husband Warren Lieberstein separated on February 18, 2009 and she filed for divorce the following year. In June 2010, it was announced that Kinsey had filed for divorce citing "irreconcilable differences. Lieberstein happens to be a writer and producer for The Office and the brother of Paul Lieberstein, who plays Toby Flenderson on the show and has been the show runner for the series since 2005. Since her divorce, like millions of other moms around the world, Kinsey faces the often difficult task of co-parenting.
Before embarking on her full career, after graduating from Baylor University in 1993, Kinsey served as an intern on the NBC late night talk show Late Night with Conan O'Brien working for Max Weinberg, which she described as an "awesome" experience. She worked for the show's drummer Max Weinberg. She then moved to Los Angeles and took improvisation classes with The Groundlings and at iO WEST (formerly known as "Improv Olympic West").
The experience inspired Kinsey to take a coast-to-coast road trip with a friend from New York City to California.
Kinsey said her grandmother, Lena May, does not watch The Office because she feels the protagonist Michael Scott, played by Steve Carell, is too "vulgar". Kinsey said, "She'll say to me, 'Baby, we're so proud of you, I'm proud of you, but I do not care for the show and I do not watch it. Kinsey is Presbyterian and attends Bel-Air Presbyterian Church. Kinsey is one of several cast members of The Office to have a role in License to Wed, a film directed by Ken Kwapis, who often directs episodes of The Office.
Kinsey updates her MySpace blog with behind-the-scenes anecdotes of upcoming episodes of the series. She updates her blog every week on Myspace under the name “accountinglady”. Besides acting, she is the new spokesperson for Clairol hair products since summer 2011, appearing in television ads for Clairol Nice 'n Easy. In real life, Angela Kinsey is nothing like her belittling character who seems to only care about her cats.
