Guilfoyle spent her four years in Los Angeles and worked as a Deputy District Attorney, on adult and juvenile cases, which including narcotics, domestic violence, kidnapping, robbery, arson, sexual assault and homicide cases. She has received several types of awards at the Los Angeles of District Attorney's Office, which is including Prosecutor of the Month.
In 2000, She was re-hired in the San Franccisco District Attorney's Office by Hallinan. From 2000 to 2004, she served as an Assistant District Attorney . She lead prosecutor James Hammer earned a conviction in the 2002 of case People v. Noel and Knoller.
In January 2004, Kimberly Guilfoyle moved to New York city and stating hosting the program Both Sides on Court TV, as well as she had take a job as a legal analyst on the Anderson Cooper 360.
She joined Fox News Channel in February 2006, as co-host of the weekend show named "The Lineup". Fox News Channel re-launched the show with new music and graphics specifically as a vehicle for Guilfoyle. The Lineup was eventually canceled, but she remained a prominent on-the-air personality and on FoxNews.com Live. Guilfoyle appears also on The O'Reilly Factor's recurring segment "Is it Legal?" and as a weekly Thursday guest on Brian Kilmeade's Kilmeade and Friends radio show. She is currently one of the co-hosts of the series The Five.
