The "Caveman Diet" (also known as the Paleo diet) is based on the idea that our bodies are better adapted to what our human ancestors ate during the Paleolithic era, i.e. the caveman era. The paleo diet is commonly referred to as the caveman diet due to the fact that while on the paleo diet, you’ll eat the same foods that caveman ate. It’s focused primarily on eating higher quantities of real, unprocessed, non-packaged food that cavemen could have eating thousands of years ago. It works on the principle that people are genetically programmed to eat like cavemen did before the agricultural revolution. The diet will reduce excess body fat, aid in the normalization of blood sugar levels, and reduce toxins and anti-nutrients. The caveman diet includes meat, eggs, vegetables with limited quantities of fruits and nuts. You should avoid eating grains, dairy, processed foods and sugars.
